topic title explains it all.......... Should the UK really be increasing the amount of cash it coughs-up in foreign aid?

David Cameron & his team seems to be saying yes, alot of other people seem to think we shouldn't & think he's crazy for doing so after the Labour government booted out of office in May 2010 left Britain without pot to piss in.

At ConservativeChitChat.co.uk, I think we should have kept it at existing levels & learn to manage better how it's paid out, and try teach less well off countries better practices so they have less need for our money & allows us to not need to pay out so much Foreign Aid in the first place.

I know a few blog articles that back this up too.......

Stop giving us Aid, say Africans - Dan Hannan (Telegraph blogs).

Foreign aid encourages corruption, conflict and dependency - Sajid Javid (ConservativeHome), before he became an MP

How tomorrow's African leaders think a Conservative Government could usefully spend its international aid budget - Syed Kamall MEP (ConservativeHome)

Promising to ring-fence the international aid budget seems naive when you consider that 14% of DfID's budget never reaches those for whom it is intended -Ben Farrugia (ConservativeHome)
